This 100% Chardonnay vintage from selected plots in the vineyard makes particularly fine, pure champagne recognisable by its elegance and delicate aromatic notes. A precious jewel wrapped in silk this champagne will fulfil any wish for refinement.

The Charpentier family has been growing wine on the southern slopes of the Marne Valley in the Champagne area since 1855. Today, Jean-Marc and Céline Charpentier are keeping up the family know how and values handed down from generation to generation, in their unique characteristic vineyard, in the Marne Valley

Pairing: this round long champagne can be enjoyed throughout the whole meal from the aperitif to the main course. It is absolutely perfect with veal sweetbreads or poultry in sauce

Tasting notes: this brilliant white gold coloured champagne has an acacia, hazelnut, marzipan nose with hints of meringue and fresh butter. It has a crisp lacy, chalky tender feeling mineral palate with a fine and delicate aftertaste.

Introducing the Vineyard:
Location: several vintages are grown over 72 plots of land around Charly Sur Marne in the Marne Valley
Vine population: the original aspect of this wine resides in the fact that the vines grown there are unique in the Champagne area. In general 90 %the vines grown in the area are Pinot Meunier whereas almost half of the vines grown in the vineyards in question are Chardonnay with a little Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, thus lending a specific uniqueness to the expressiveness of this champagne.
Winegrowing:the exceptional exposure of the vineyards in the heart of the hills has helped, over the last 25 years, to convert to sustainable and reasoned wine growing. The high aromatic expression in the grapes is favoured rather than the yield thus allowing the soil to fully express itself. Now a few plots are organically grown.

Cépage 100 % Chardonnay : cépage le plus cultivé dans le monde, il donne des champagnes délicats et parfumés.
