Invented in the early 19th century, the Charlotte is a tribute to the wife of George III, Princess Charlotte, grandmother of Queen Victoria. Made with sponge cookies and Bavarian cream in a mold with flared edges, the charlotte was originally filled with fruit compote.
Tasting Tip:
For a resolutely chic and gourmet presentation, accompany it with whipped cream, a scoop of Madagascar vanilla ice cream, or simply with fresh fruit.
Enjoy it as a very fresh dessert, with a fruit coulis and ice cream.

Pineapple filling 43.8% (pineapple 75%, sugar, pectin, citric acid, flavour, ascorbic acid), syrup 37.5% (glucose syrup, water, sugar, rum 10.7%, citric acid) cookie 15% {egg white, sugar, wheat flour (gluten), egg yolks, water, invert sugar syrup, sorbitol, dextrose, glycerol, flavouring, salt, raising agent (disodium disphophate and sodium hydrogen carbonate, corn starch), emulsifier: E471, E475}. Possible traces of nuts, soy and sesame.
