Composition :

Vilanova Berbie :
Fruity and greedy, we find notes of apple, chocolate and tiger balm.
Ex casks of dry and sweet white wines from French vineyards.

Vilanova Gost :
Dry and fruity on the palate, it opens with a manifestation of aromas of stewed fruit and sweet spices.
Double maturation in ex-bourbon barrels and then in new American oak barrels with crocodile toast.

Vilanova Roja :
Fine and complex, with tannic and fruity notes.
Ex first fill red wine casks from Bordeaux.

Vilanova Terrocita :
Fresh and peaty, with intense flavours of eucalyptus, apple, resinous.

Presentation of the distillery :
Created in 1941 by Gilbert Castan, the Castan family estate, famous for its mobile red copper still, is located in Villeneuve-sur-Vère in the Tarn.
The family grows barley and rye (160 hectares) as well as vines (7 hectares) from which they produce renowned wines, notably under the Gaillac appellation.

In 2007, when the distillery was built, the Castans family started to create whisky, guided by their historical passion for spirits. As the first distillery in Occitania, Castana created the Vilanova range of whiskies.

All stages of production are carried out on the same site: barley growing, brewing, distillation, ageing and bottling. Vilanova whiskies are first and foremost local whiskies, combining family know-how, rigorous craftsmanship and inimitable character.
