The Story :
The creation of Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs in 2017 completes the Les Classiques Collection with a single-varietal cuvée to embody over time the expression of the House of Perrier-Jouët's expertise in revealing the essence of Chardonnay. This champagne perpetuates a tradition that goes back to the last century: in the 1920s, the House offered its first 100% Chardonnay cuvée, long before these champagnes were officially called "Blanc de Blancs".

Terroir :
To make Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs, I choose Chardonnay grapes from several of the region's finest crus," says Séverine Frerson. Of course, the famous villages of Cramant, Avize and Chouilly on the Côte des Blancs, but also those of Trépail and Villers-Marmery in the north of the Montagne de Reims. The wines from these crus are blended with a small proportion of reserve wines, also 100% Chardonnay, to ensure the quality and style of the House. After ageing for 3 years on the lees in the Perrier-Jouët cellars, this cuvée is ready to reveal its full freshness and vitality.
