Description
This vineyard of unique character in the Marne Valley offers a cuvée for every occasion, remarkable not only for the finesse of its bubbles but also for the purity and delicacy of its red fruit notes.
The Charpentier family has been growing vines in Champagne, on the southern slopes of the Marne Valley, since 1855.
Today, Jean-Marc and Céline Charpentier perpetuate the family know-how and inherited values, while looking to the future.
Pairings : this champagne can be enjoyed on any occasion. It is equally at home as a festive aperitif, with salmon, grilled red mullet or filet mignon, or even with mousse or fruit-based desserts.
Tasting notes : This champagne has a satiny, coppery-pink colour with salmon highlights. Animated by fine bubbles, it feeds a delicate mousse. On the nose, there are fruity notes of raspberry, strawberry and redcurrant. The attack on the palate is supple, and the chalky, liquorice minerality maintains its freshness. The long finish prolongs the gourmet pleasure.
Presentation of the estate :
Location : 72 parcels spread over several crus in the Marne Valley around Charly Sur Marne.
Grape varieties: Its originality lies in a unique grape variety for this Champagne region, which is normally 90% dominated by Pinot Meunier. However, almost half the vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, accompanied by Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. This unique specificity plays an important role in the expression of this champagne.
Viticulture : the exceptional exposure of the vineyards in the heart of the hillsides has, over the last 25 years, favoured the implementation of a model of integrated viticulture, the "viticulture raisonnée".
sustainable viticulture.
Terroir : the high expression and aromatic structure of the grapes favour a more pronounced evocation of the terroir, taking precedence over yields. Some plots are now cultivated organically.
Ingredients
