Comtesse du Barry has the 'Excellence Gers' status for products manufactured with Label Rouge (Gers) farm-raised geese and IGP duck 'à la foie gras du Sud-Ouest Gers', both official marks guaranteeing quality and source.
Comtesse du Barry complies with Environmental and Hospitality criteria.

Quality
Taste tests are practiced in Comtesse du Barry laboratory and kitchens.
Every raw material that comes to Gimont (Gers) is controlled by hand.
Know-how and experience are the only guides.
To preserve their flavor, the Comtesse du Barry fatty livers are cooked using recipes handed down from generation to generation, with no added preservatives.
Tastings are held daily in our kitchens .
More than 100 years of tradition
Geese and ducks are raised in the Gers tradition .
Geese are descended from authentic strains Masseube or Gimont and only the white corn is used for fattening. This gives them the subtle taste foie gras, the color and texture like no other. As for ducks, they are fed whole grain yellow corn as before.
This explains the unique and frank taste of foie gras appreciated by amateurs.
Comtesse du Barry fabrications are ISO 9001 certified. For us this certification means recognition of our requirement.
Comtesse du Barry follows the charter of quality and customer respect FEVAD.
