Comtesse du Barry has formed with Edradour, the smallest distillery in Scotland, to bring you a selection of whiskies aged in Sauternes casks.
The Edradour distillery is renowned for the singular character of its single malt which it exports worldwide. The owner Andrew Symington has always striven to create special original methods of ageing his whisky (Burgundy, Chardonnay, Chateauneuf du Pape, Madeira, Muscatel, Port, Sassicaia, Tokay etc ) his new expressions have brought the slightly old fashioned image of his whisky right up to date.
Sensory profile: Round and crisp, acacia honey and raisins. White fruits (peach, pear), salted butter caramel, malted barley, juicy tart apples, coconut milk and vanilla, ripe grapes.
Color: coppery hue
Nose: powerful with fruity notes
Palate: powerful, mature with its fruit and candied fruit mouth.
